Just something to add on what @UWe9o12jkied91d said. You wouldn't want to dissolve LSD in water to lay blotters. It is soluble in alcohols such as ethanol, so you can use anhydrous ethanol for this. It evaporates much more easily and you don't run the risk of hydrolyzing your LSD :)
