La Mayiza would have more personnel, equipment and vehicles at its service than expected Los Chapitos and the Army / The United States strengthens its presence around the city / Supermarkets, schools, shops and even pharmacies remain closed for security and the population barely leaves their homes
The citizens have imposed a curfew, but that's not all. Pharmacies, supermarkets, all shops, schools and universities have been closed in Culiacan, a city of 800,000 inhabitants in the state of Sinaloa.
This Sunday marks the beginning, according to various sources present in the Sinaloa city consulted by this newspaper, of a new ‘Culiacanazo’, a violent explosion in which drug traffickers confront each other for control of the city. Despite the constant appeals for calm by the governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, and apparent blows suffered by the Mayiza at the hands of a kind of alliance between the Chapitos and the Army, the latest movements point to a strong presence of Zambada's followers, who would have a much greater operational capacity than their rivals expected, both in number of personnel and in armored vehicles at their service.
